What is Temperature Sensor ?

Temperature Sensor

Temperature sensor allows us to detect or perceive a physical change in temperature that produces analog or digital output by measuring the amount or coldness of heat energy produced by an object or system. There are many different types of temperature sensors; hot sensors have various features depending on their real applications.

Temperature sensor consists of two basic physical types;

Contact Temperature

Contact Temperature Sensor Types are temperature sensor types must be physically in contact with the detected object and conductor must be used to monitor changes in temperature. They can be used to detect solids, liquids or gases at a wide variety of temperatures.

Contactless Temperature

Contactless Temperature Sensor Types are types of temperature sensors that use convection + radiation to monitor temperature changes. As the temperature rises and cools, it can be used to detect radiant energy-emitting liquids and gases and radiant energy transmitted from an object in the form of infrared radiation (sun), as the convection currents sink to the bottom.
